Bolt-On seat hinge to mount on Backbone

This new hinge mount will allow you to mount to the 1 1/2" diameter backbone tubing on your frame. It is curved for a perfect fit, and easy installation. Shown with a standard seat hinge, but it is also available with the invisible hinge too.

BOLT-ON STAINLESS STEEL SEAT HINGE

Now you can have the best Seat Hinge in the business, without having to weld it to your frame. This new seat mount is identical to our Original Stainless Steel Seat Hinge, but the pivot mount bolts into your frame. The bolt-in mount is available in (2) styles: one is perfectly flat, and the other is formed to fit a variety of aftermarket frames that have a break down the middle of the backbone.

STAINLESS STEEL SEAT HINGE

This seat hinge is the last one you will ever need to buy. No more replacing cracked and broken sprung seat hinges in the middle of riding season.

These are laser cut from 3/16" stainless steel, and can be fully polished to look better than chrome. They pivot on bronze bearings, for a squeak and rattle free ride - for life! They are 100 percent tig welded, and have a hole pattern to fit most solo sprung saddles. It has all of the features of my old steel kit, but in stainless steel.

SEAT BRACKET KIT
Like our handlebars, the Biltwell seat bracket and frame pivot are made of 4130 chromoly. Why such a rugged material? If you think your seat bracket doesn’t have to be strong, think again. We did, and we couldn’t think of a better place to put aircraft-grade chromoly steel than right between your legs. Imagine what might happen to your junk if your seat snapped off at 80 miles per hour. You can thank us later. Of course, all welds are TIG. Beautiful, strong and accurate. We could MIG weld these components, but that would belie our name.
The Biltwell seat bracket is engineered to fit the mounting studs on most solo seats. It features two long slots for adjustability. Its rugged black electroplated finish looks great as is, or you can abrade the surface with a sandblaster or steel wool for custom painting. We left the accompanying pivot bracket unfinished so it can be welded to the backbone of your frame without special preparation. An Allen cap bolt threads into the opposite side of the bracket, creating an efficient and durable hinge pin.

CAST STAINLESS SEAT BRACKET KIT
This all new investment-cast satinless steel seat hinge may just outlast the rest of your motorcycle. It's fully polished after casting and also available in a black electroplated finish. The weld-on bung is larger for increased durability and more weld surface area. If you've already welded the bung from the Chromoly unit onto your bike, this bracket will bolt right up.

Seat Spring Mounts and Springs

BOLT-ON SPRING MOUNTING BUNGS

Here is the perfect companion to the Bolt-on Seat Hinge: Bolt-on Seat Spring Mounts! If you are not able to weld seat spring mounting bungs to your frame, this kit will allow you to enjoy the comfort of a sprung seat on your Hardtail. Simply drill (2) 5/16" diameter holes in the cross-tube that joins the rear fork legs, and bolt on these mounts. The top mount is fishmouthed for 1" diameter tubing, and threaded in the bottom. The bottom mount is also fishmouthed and counterbored for a 5/16" Allen Bolt to pass through it, through the tubing, and into the top bung - clamping it all securely together. Leather "cushion" washers are also provided to keep the springs quiet.

Pricing: $86.00 per pair for 1" tubing mounts, plus 4.00 shipping. Add 10.00 if you need them to fit other sized tubing, and be sure to specify the size.

Weld On Seat Spring Mounts

These seat spring bungs are fishmouthed to fit on standard 1" diameter tubing frames. They can EASILY be filed to fit up to 1 1/4" tube frames too. The center shaft is 3/8" in diameter, and they are supplied with leather washers to keep the springs from squeaking and eating up the paint. Shafts can be drilled to accept pins to hold the springs if you desire.

WHAT’S HERE: Our Builder Exhaust Kit is exactly what its name implies: a selection of pre-fabbed tubing, header flanges and exhaust tips that puts the art of custom exhaust building in the hands of backyard fabricators. Each Builder Exhaust Kit includes the following:

Two 16-inch-long (350mm) straight sections
Two 3.5-inch radius (90mm) U-bends with straights
Two 5-inch radius 134mm) U-bends with straights
Two Evolution cylinder flanges
Two Shovelhead cylinder flanges
Two Ironhead cylinder flanges
Two fishtail tips

In other words, everything you need to build a set of pipes for one bike, with enough scraps left over to start on two more. If you’re clever—and assuming your stable of projects includes the right combination of Harley motors—you could build three sets of pipes for less than 300 dollars. All it would take is a visit to the local muffler shop for a couple more feet of 1-3/4-inch steel tubing.

WHAT’S MISSING: This kit doesn’t include mounting tabs. You can fabricate these out of flat stock, or buy some at any good industrial hardware store. Snap rings and exhaust flange collars for Evo’s and Shovelheads are not included. You can pick these up at any swap meet or local shop.

SURFACE FINISH: All raw tube sections are pre-polished to make chroming after joint finishing easier.
